September was busy with castings and callbacks and I booked a comedy promotional video for the new Bond film, No Time To Die, currently showing on ESPN.  Starring the basketball player, Karl-Anthony Towns, it shows the quest that my character, Mary Trowbridge, the producer on the film, endures to find a stunt double for Daniel Craig. Being over a foot taller than Daniel, Karl-Anthony doesn’t do so well even though he thinks he does! It’s a fun spot so if you have ESPN, keep your eyes peeled for it.

On 24 September, the new, Apple TV+, sci fi show, FOUNDATION, released episodes 1 & 2. Apple is releasing an episode a week of this 10 part series so my first episode will be shown on 22 October – Episode 6 – Death and the Maiden. I think the series will build up steadily and have quite a following by the end of season 1.

I went to several screenings including Birds of Paradise (Amazon Prime), The Guilty (Netflix) and Dune (theatrical release 22 October) all decent films but my recommendation this month, of course, is going to be the new Bond film, No Time To Die, which is in cinemas from 8 October. By all accounts, it’s a great swan song for Daniel Craig, and the franchise is finally breaking a few of the more out of date conventions associated with 007.
